I was created by the creator to create. Being different is something I have reveled in most of my life (except for a few teenage years!). I liked not fitting the traditional mode of things and moving to the beat of my own drum, just being OFFBEAT. I loved dancing in the rain and trying new things. When it comes to getting dressed, I love unique pieces that I could go out in and not see a million people wearing. When I shop, I believe nothing is in its final state; it could continually be transformed into something more. I have left my mark on many surfaces: canvas, wood, glass, porcelain, shoes, and clothes; my scribbles (what I affectionately call them) are my signature. During the pandemic, I finally took the advice of a dear friend to “do some earrings” and fell in love with the idea of creating wearable art in the form of accessories. I posted them on social media and sold a few pairs. When I lost my job, I took a leap of faith and did my first pop-up, which was successful. I have since done more pop-ups and enjoy bringing wearable art to the world.

If music is what feelings sound like, my paintings are when my soul shows out. I believe we each have a bit of God in us, and when I create, I feel God pour through me, pushing my soul across the surface. These Treasurez are the gift of my submission to God. I am a creator, and through art, I breathe.
